ToggleA Cutting-Edge Technology for Effective Waste Management
The treatment center of Syproval, inaugurated in Malataverne, is designed to maximize the recovery of non-hazardous waste initially destined for landfill. The new sorting unit uses high-performance technology with two distinct treatment lines. These lines will enable efficient sorting of household and similar waste, thereby increasing the recycling rate.
A Considerable Investment
This ambitious project represents an investment of 41 million euros. This financial effort is partially supported by a “green loan” of 30 million euros. This sum has been allocated for the construction of the waste recovery center, which promises to transform waste management in the region.
A Significant Reduction in Waste Landfill
The fuel preparation center of Syproval aims to reduce landfill waste by 50%. It will serve the residents of eight community communes in the departments of Drôme, Ardèche, and Vaucluse. By diverting a significant portion of waste from landfills to this new center, Syproval contributes to the regional environmental effort.
Recent Developments
This project is the result of a long study on the management of household and similar waste. On September 14, 2022, the first brick of this ultimate waste recovery unit of the Syndicate of Portes de Provence was laid, marking the beginning of a new era for waste management in this region.
A Project Supported by Authorities
Ms. Mayor, V. Alliez, played a crucial role in welcoming and supporting this project in her municipality. A public inquiry regarding the environmental authorization request – ICPE was also conducted to facilitate this operation. Through this action, local authorities demonstrate their commitment to sustainable development.
